May is a month of true mayhem in AIKA Global, as T3fun and Redbana reveal a staggering amount of in-game activities taking place this month. Four major events are lined up for May: “Nation Wars II,” “Legionnaires of May,” “Friend in Need” and “The Auction House”. Along with these events, exciting new game and website updates will be revealed. Get your arms and armor ready for the incredible and wild month of May!

Events:
“Nation Wars II”
For the entire month of May, nations become war zones during the “Nation Wars II” event, which will challenge nations to defend their name and territory. Each nation shall pick four (4) leaders to take part in The Lord Marshall Alliance. After a signal given by GMs, invading armies will have 2 hours to march into their subject territory, attack, and reach their goal.

“Legionnaires of May”

From May 2nd to 8th, Legions can register to be part of the “Legionnaires of May” event. To participate, Legions need to register ten (10) newly-created accounts with level 10 characters. Participants will need to send in screenshots of each character at level 10. Characters will then need to grow as swiftly as possible and reach Level 50 within the event time period. The first five (5) legions to complete the requirements before May 31 will win a special prize bundle.

“A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed” and “Auction House”
During the entire month of May, watch out for two other major in-game events where players will need to make use of their wide network of friends. By inviting them to play along in-game, players will receive prizes from the “A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed” event. Participants may also wage a bidding war by readying rare and precious items to sell in the “Auction House” event, where fortunes will be made.

Game and Site Updates:
Nation Merge
In a shift sure to rock the foundations of Arcan, AIKA Global will be moving from five (5) to two (2) competing nations in-game. In the following weeks, Elters will be exiled from their current nations and will have to choose between two newly-created nations. Alliance features will also be removed but fear not, level 5 and up Legions will be given the compensation they have earned and deserve.

Mailing System
Players will now be able to send mail messages to fellow players even when they are offline! With the new mailing system, messages can now contain items and gold and be sent through email.

However, there may come a time when you want to get a little more out of the time you spend in the game. There are items that cost 20,000 gold, and surely you want those items. This means that in order to get the most out of your WoW experience, you’ll have to make gold as quickly as possible.

The Basics

But how do you do this? There are several things to keep in mind when trying to make gold quickly in WoW by doing dailies. You probably already know that daily quests award you with gold for completing them. And initially, in WoW, items do not cost that much gold to purchase. But eventually, the items become very expensive, especially the best of the best items you’ll want to get when you hit level cap. So, you need a game plan to be able to afford all the items you want, if you want them before the end of time.

Focus on Gold

When you want to build up a stockpile of gold quickly in WoW, you have to supplement your regular activites with activities designed specifically to make you a lot of gold. Doing dailies is a great way to make a lot of gold quickly. All daily quests pay out gold when you complete them. The key is to pay attention to the amount of gold each daily rewards you with when you complete them. You should also take time into consideration when trying to make gold fast in WoW using dailies. If you can make 200 gold, but it takes you 5 hours to do it, that’s not very much gold per hour. There are good ways to make a lot of gold per hour, such as optimized speed gold dailies runs.

Two weeks ago, after the Tuesday update (before the Shattering), I checked my email after purchasing the Cataclysm update and found that there was an odd email from Blizzard saying that my email had been changed.  Ok, freak out time – as I didn’t change my email!  So, I immediately jump on the Battlenet site and try to get my account back.  The problem is that you can’t use their automated thing to re-do your password, because, Hello, you don’t have access to that account!  So, I sent in the online ticket request, and sat biting my fingers waiting.

Now, I currently have two accounts.  The one that got hacked happened to be the one that I have a guild on with 4 tabs.  With Cataclysm coming up, yes, my guild bank is stocked to the gills with specific items.  All of my toons on that particular server are pretty rich as I’m an auction house fanatic.  So, immediately I know that they’ve already cleaned out my toons as well as the guild bank.  While I don’t have a large guild at all, (just me and two RL friends), we all use the bank to store things in as they place things in, I sell them for them, and shoot them the gold afterward.  It’s a great system – and we trust each other, which is nice.

Ok, back to the hack.  After waiting for about four hours without hearing anything, I get impatient and call Blizzard.  It does take me seven minutes on hold to get to a person, but when I do, he is absolutely amazing on the phone from what I’ve experienced from their customer service previously.  Within five minutes, I have my account back and he’s already entered tickets to get all my goods back on my toons and I’m logging in to my account again.  Now, this was so easy because I am the owner of the account, I know the secret question and answer, and blah blah blah.  If you don’t have this, yeah, there is no way in hell you’re getting an account – so NEVER give out this information to anyone.

After I get off the phone, it’s only about two hours and my mail boxes are full on all of my toons with everything that was stripped from them.  Then, another hour and everything from the guild bank is back in my mail box.  Amazing!  Needless to say, I’m a happy camper now.  And, needless to say, I purchased an authenticator right after that.

Now, the reason that this is so great to me is because in the Spring of 2008 I had my account hacked.  I’ve had this account for almost two years, and I had gotten my favorite Warlock and DK of all time both to 80 and geared up.  This was before the battlenet accounts and when it got hacked, the hackers managed to change the secret question so I no longer knew it.  I never got this account back – and at least the account is locked and gone so the hackers can’t use it for gold selling either.  On top of this, the people that I spoke to at Blizzard (two different customer service reps), were very hateful and rude to me.  They did nothing but talk down to me as if I was a five year old that had no idea what I was doing, and I got no where with either of them aside from being pissed off when I hung up.  I still grumble to this day about that account and that incident made me quit WoW for almost 9 months.  So, to see the changes in their customer service and processes now is an amazing change for the better.

If you find yourself in the “hacked” category, don’t panic.  I completely understand that you will panic, as I did, but calm yourself and then do yourself a favor and call Blizzard’s customer service line.  Even if you have to wait on hold for ten minutes, it’s well worth it.  Their customer service now is excellent in my opinion, and they will easily take care of you and help get you on the road to a full recovery of everything you lost.  Keep in mind that hackers are coming up with brilliant new ways to get your account information, and you need to be scanning your computer daily for bots, keyloggers, and other spywear that can jack your info.

At the top of this screen, you will notice several different buttons.  All of these are interactive features that will let you do several different things.  The first, Azeroth’s Fortune, will give you the opportunity to discover your fortune by choosing three cards.  Once you choose them, you will see what the cards are, and discover your fate.  This is a fun little game and you can play it over and over, even picking the same three cards each time will give you a new fortune every time.  It’s fun.  Of course, everything has something to do with Cataclysm.

The next one, Discover Your Destiny, will allow you to choose your faction, then go through a test of 10 questions that will help you discover your true inner class.  Now, you have to pay attention to the questions and the different answers at the bottom.  Normally, I do these things and they are nowhere near the class I actually play or what I really like in the game.  Here’s the funny thing about this one: I have played a Warlock in WoW since 2006 and was really amazed that is what my destiny came out as.  Pretty cool if you ask me!  Of course, I didn’t do it twice – go for it and see what your true destiny in game is…

Then, you have the image contest and the video contest.  These are fun to check out, and you can choose your faction, then share and like the ones that you like the best.  When you do, you’ll gain points for your faction that will show on the sliding scale on the main page.  As of right now, the Horde is in the lead – only barely though – For the Horde!  You can also upload your own images and videos to the site for a chance at winning as well.  There are so
