In all of the new Northrend content, I have to admit that the Nexus is my favorite so far. I love the music, I love the ice, I love the challenges that the bosses present to players. So, here is the start of my Nexus guide – your basic overview so that you can see what’s the big hype behind it, and how you should proceed when you are ready to brave it.
This dungeon is actually an old ice fortress that sits in the middle of Coldarra in the Borean Tundra. This is where the ancient dragon ruler, Malygos the Aspect of the Blue Dragonflight, made his home and ruled his lands. To be closer to their leader, there are several massive caverns here that the biggest of the dragons carved out so that they could be right there to carry out their master’s orders. So, you will find a massive series of rooms, caves, and tunnels in this instance that will confuse anyone – even seasoned WoW players. The instance overall is really beautiful. And, I don’t mean this from just a purely girly standpoint. I mean that they really took the time and did everything right according to the lore that Blizzard painstakingly puts out. The walls are smooth, and icy, and you feel as if you can see through them – that they shine with a light all their own inside. You will see several areas where things seem to glow – which is really cool. While you are in here – take the time to look around, and especially up. There are some great carvings here, all over the place, and while you are building up health or mana, take the time to pan your camera around. You won’t be sorry. There are 4 main bosses in this instance, instead of the normal World of Warcraft 3. And, I will give you a sweet strategy guide – completely free my friends – for each of these bosses so that you can bring them down quickly and painlessly… well, ok, a little pain…So, check out my free strategy guides for Grand Magus Telestra, Ormorok the Tree-Shaper, Anomalus, and the grand boss: Keristrasza the Dragon.
