Aion: New, Sexy MMO Game Soon To Be Released
Aion, one of the upcoming MMO games by NCSoft, mixes awesomely sexy elves with the awesome forces of battle to give us all what we really need – free flying elven battle in mid-air! Ok, we’re all used to elves, it seems that they are in just about every popular MMO game out there. And, no matter if you love them or hate them, there’s always room for one more, right? Well, in this new MMO by NCsoft, players can actually play an elf that flies through the air and does their fighting there as well.The game takes place in the land of Atreia, where there is an entire race of flying elves. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to become one of these elves and take part in their civil war between the forces of good and evil, which go by the names of The Elyos (good) and the Asmodians (evil) for the whole planet. The fight itself is based on PvP action – for those who love a good PvP fight – and you’ll be able to fight both in the air and on the ground. The air fights will have special ways that your attacks can be turned into energy that will create armor for your toon, sweet weapons, and other wonderfully unique things that can help you get the edge in the fight – which is something that no other game offers. These special energies that are only available in the air are to encourage gamers to take their battles into the air – as these special things aren’t offered on the ground.
Since this game offers special areas, there is one called the Abyss that will be the most dangerous part of the game for players. In this area, you’ll find the vast majority of the action and you will have to be over level 25 to even enter it. But, NCSoft has stated that the grind and leveling up to level 10 will be extremely short to encourage players to continue playing and says that there will be a short, linear tutorial-type progression that will get you from level 1-10 and then allow you to continue on your own. The publishers state that players should be able to reach level 20 in about 30 game hours.Then, when you reach level 25 and are allowed into the Abyss, you’ll get to fight other players and the forces in the Abyss. You will also have PvP capture objectives, such as keeps and fortresses. When you capture these objectives, you’ll get special bonuses, such as experience and goodies. There will also be special items in these objectives that each race can capture for extra special bonus items, which will be something else new that will add to the game play as well. And, like in some other MMO games out there, the winning side will be able to get special items from special vendors in the area once they capture the objective.
But, the other race won’t be the only thing you’ll be fighting in the Abyss. You’ll also be fighting the Balaur, which is hostile to both races. This NPC race will fight against both races at the same time, so you will be fighting them and the other side in this wonderful melee of PvP and PvE play. For this reason, you may even have to create some “temporary” alliances with the other side to get past these NPC’s, and then resume your race war.To me, Aion looks like something different that I’ll be happy to try out and see if it does anything differently than other MMO’s out on the market… we’ll see. And, I’ll report to you what I find and if the game is worth playing or no.
