NEW YORK – Sept. 23, 2008 – Prepare for battle! Paradox Interactive, the world-renowned publisher of strategy games for the PC, today released an all-new gameplay trailer for Mount & Blade, the company’s recently released medieval action-RPG.
Set in the medieval world of Calradia,
adventurers must rely solely on tactical knowledge and the strength of their blade to overcome barbaric enemies in this realistic combat game.
“We wanted to combine epic sword fighting action with a free and dynamic world which can be affected by player actions. Mount&Blade focuses on freedom for the gamer along with a feeling of randomness where you never know what to expect. It’s a dynamic and responsive game world in which your actions matter,” said Armagan Yavuz, Lead Developer, TaleWorlds Entertainment. “We chose not to have a linear, traditional main storyline because we felt that as a gamer, you shouldn’t be filled with stories someone else wrote, you should shape your own story.”
The newly unveiled trailer showcases Mount & Blade’s realistic gameplay and features the game’s famous horse-mounted combat, complete with chainmail armor, menacing foes, and plenty of swordplay action. So sharpen your sword and prepare your steed… the time has come to see what lies ahead in Mount & Blade.
