World of Kung Fu – 5 out of 5

Post Rating

Alright, if you are any type of avid MMO gamer, then you seriously need to check out World of Kung Fu from Vestgame.  I have been posting their news here on the site for you all to check out and learn more about the game.  But, I haven’t actually taken the time to download and play it until yesterday.

While the download took a while… yeah, my computer is slow these days… once I got it all set up and ready to go, it was super fast to get on a server and in game.  The different options that you have when it comes to creating your toon might not be as many as other pay to play MMO games, but the graphics are awesome.  Also, you have about 8-9 different classes that you can choose from, and these all revolve around the type of weapon that you prefer.  Personally, I chose the hooks just because they look wicked on a chick.

Once you get in game, I was really amazed at how fluid the game itself is and how clear and bright the graphics are.  I absolutely love the artistry in the game, and I’m not that big a fan of asian games… this one changed my mind.  The first thing that you notice is the difference in the characters from other free and pay to play MMO games.  They are all bright, clear, and fluid in their movements instead of choppy like other games are.

While the interface is different and did take me just a few minutes to get used to, once I learned where everything was, it is a breeze to use.  One of my absolute favorite things about the interface is the quest log.  Once you receive a quest, it will tell you where to go and provide you a link that you can click on.  When you click the link, you can actually automatically move your toon to that NPC or location.  This is totally awesome in my book, as you don’t lose a lot of time by searching for that specific quest NPC or location.

Also, once you hit level 7, you can start to gather items to use in crafting.  You don’t have to just pick one or two craftings here either… which is another awesome point for the game in my book.  You can gain one tool that will let you gather all three of the different things: herbs, trees, and ores.  Each of these different mats will help you to create other items, such as medicines, armor, weapons, and such to use or sell.

The game itself has some of the same things as other MMO games do, like a public auction NPC, a storage area for extra things you can’t carry, specialized vendors, and so on.  You can make your gold to purchase goods and gear, and the graphics allow you to choose either to show your gear or to show the fashion that you are wearing.  Fashions include different costumes that are really cool and funny.

After I got the hang of moving and the interface, the game was a breeze.  I actually leveled from 1-12 in less than an hour of play and I love the combat system.  The weapons and graphics when you are in combat are really sweet and the movements are fluid and not choppy at all.  You can hotkey different abilities and attacks as you gain them, just like other MMO games.  But, the spells and attack graphics are really cool.

Overall, I give this MMO game a 5 out of 5 rating and I will recommend it to anyone who loves MMO gaming.

So – if you haven’t checked out this new free to play MMO game, DO IT NOW.  This is one free MMO game that I will keep playing for a long time, just because it is so damn cool.  When you download the game and head in, look me up… Xiecy… I’ll probably be in game, grinding or questing….  Happy Fighting!
