Paris Hilton in WoW?
Ok, come on… I just caught this story on Yahoo about Paris Hilton now being in World of Warcraft as a “vendor of high end bags”. Geeeze. Is the gaming world really selling out for that? Or is World of Warcraft finally feeling the pinch from other popular MMO games that are stealing a bit of their thunder?
This NPC is named “Haris Pilton” after the wonderful young lady who we all know so well from her partying, trip to jail, and that great reality show “The Simple Life”… alright, so maybe she’s not that wonderful… at least, not in my opinion. Being an avid MMO player, and having played WoW for over two years, I have never run into this toon… But, since I have switched over to playing Age of Conan and World of Kung Fu (which is FREE and you NEED to check out), I could really care less if they create a whole gaggle of “socialite” toons in the game. At least they are sticking to a bit of reality when it comes to making this toon – not only does she sell bags and items that will cost players a ton of gold (I mean 1,200 gold for 1 bag?? A 22-slot just isn’t worth that.), she is a snob to boot.
Hey – I guess that Wow may really be heading downhill after all… What’s next? A bar patron who steals mounts and then chases you down called Hinsey Pohan? Geeze….
